We are located in Basse-Normandie within easy travelling distance of ferry ports and tourist attractions. Caen is less than an hour away and Cherbourg around a 1 hour and 20 minute drive.

We live in rural Normandy and are short drives away from shops and restaurants;public transport links are limited and we therefore recommend that guests have their own transport. It is possible to travel by train to the towns of Villedieu-Les-Poeles and St Lo and there is a bus between St Lo and Avranches which passes a few miles away from here.

Our local town of Villedieu-Les-Poêles has a variety of shops and restaurants and every day it is possible to find somewhere to dine in the evening; although some evenings such as Sunday, the choice may be more limited. If you are arriving late and hope to eat out, you may wish to book somewhere in advance; let us know if you need help with that.

We are within easy travelling distance of a number of tourist attractions, activities, gardens and pretty towns to visit, including the D Day Landing Beaches, Bayeux Tapestry, Mont St Michel & Saint Malo.

There are also various activities in the area including cycle routes, velo trail,bungee jumping and other exciting activities at the Viaduc de la Soulevre which was built by Gustav Eiffel , canoeing and kayaking, Zoo Champrepusand aquariums.

There are many local markets to visit in the area and producers of local food and drink.
